Aliens Steal Water

"Is it possible for all the water in your hot tub to evaporate? Recently I found that my tub was only half full. There is no water on the ground around the spa. I opened some doors and looked inside with a flashlight but there is no water inside.

I called my dealer, who after carefully walking me through the possible causes, finally laughed and said that aliens must be stealing the water at night to refuel their ship. Yeah, right, or maybe Chinook, the Arctic Spas polar bear, takes a big drink.

But seriously... where does the water go?"

"I'm concerned that shoveling snow off my hot tub cover may damage the vinyl. What's the safest method for removing snow from the cover?"

Arctic on TV

An Arctic Spa has a starring role in the TV series Reaper, shown on CityTV in Canada and CWTV in the states on Tuesday evenings (check local listings for times).

Well, okay, so it’s really just a bit part. The Arctic spa is positioned by the front doors of a fictional big-box hardware store called "The Work Bench" and is only seen when the camera pans across that part of the store.

But on one show, the boys from Work Bench parked a Coyote (looked like an Outlaw) on a front lawn and had a little pool party with the Daughter of the Devil herself. American readers can view the episode here (the site is locked to viewers from outside the US).

"Lively, unpretentious..."

A Holiday Greeting

With shopping, visiting, organizing, cooking, planning and general running around, this time of year can be hectic and stressful. For Arctic and Coyote owners, it's the perfect time to enjoy a hot tub. Family and friends alike can relax and enjoy soothing hydrotherapy.

It's been a busy and exciting year for us at Blue Falls Manufacturing, with the introduction of our new Arctic Glacier and the new Coyote Spas line. So we're looking forward to shutting down over the holiday and having a break.

On behalf of all of us here at our factories, and on behalf of our worldwide dealer network, I thank you for purchasing our product. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukka, Kwanzaa or another festival, I wish you all the joy of your season, and the happiest of New Years.

DID YOU KNOW
We chose Chinook, our mascot polar bear, to represent the insulating qualities of our hot tubs because these bears are so well insulated themselves.
Although we think of polar bears as white, their color ranges from white into various shades of yellow. They have two layers of fur, an inner insulating layer and an outer guard layer. The guard hairs are not white, but clear. Each hair is hollow, like a tiny glass tube, and conducts sunlight to warm the skin, which is black so as to better absorb heat. The two layers of hair together are completely waterproof.
A polar bear is so well insulated that it can overheat if running on land, and so the bears spend much of their time lazing on the ice or swimming in the frigid water. They are perfectly suited to their Arctic environment.
Like your Arctic Spa, a polar bear is "engineered for the world's harshest environments".
