The Alberta Youth Experience Survey 2005

Drinking is up, gambling is up, but cannabis use has stayed the same. Use of illicit drugs is still low, and much lower than students think it is.

Those are some of the findings of The Alberta Youth Experience Survey 2005, the second cycle of a survey first conducted in 2002. In the fall of 2005, the survey measured alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drug use and gambling activity among Alberta students in grades 7 through 12.
