Opportunity to Advertise to Students

Starting this coming academic year, CAPS will be publishing a magazine called Career Connections. This is an effort to move away from career fair guidebooks – a familiar advertising venue for employers – and move towards a high-quality publication for students and better advertising opportunities for employers.

Career Connections will have a circulation of 12,000 throughout the University of Alberta campus. It will be distributed free at all CAPS events including career fairs, career forums, seminars and workshops. Career Connections will also be available for pick up at various administrative offices on campus and in both CAPS offices.

Career Connections will be 64-pages in length and include a main feature story and two mini-features about career-related issues. Career Connections also includes profiles of recent graduates and career advice for students with advanced degrees. For the fall issue, the magazine will feature a story on career opportunities in the green economy and an article about finding work during a recession.

If you are interested in advertising in Career Connections, please visit: http://www.caps.ualberta.ca/LookingToHire/Advertise.cfm. The deadline to reserve space in the upcoming fall issue is June 22, 2009.

For more information, please contact Laura Manuel at laura.manuel@ualberta.ca or call 780-492-3474.
